Credit cards, lines of credit and loans are liabilities: their balances are negative and count against your net worth.
On budget and off budget
Money in on-budget accounts is money you can plan with: it counts toward To Be Budgeted and category spending. Off-budget accounts (investments, property, loans) still count toward your net worth but stay out of the budget. You can change this for any account in its settings.
Updating the value of an investment or property
Homes, cars and investment accounts usually don't have transactions worth tracking one by one. Open the account and choose Update value (or Update balance for a loan): FlyBudget adds a dated adjustment so your net worth history stays accurate.
Reconciling
Reconciling checks that FlyBudget agrees with your bank statement. Open an account, choose Reconcile, enter the statement's ending balance, and tick the transactions that appear on the statement until the difference is zero. Reconciled transactions are locked, so rules and bank sync never change them.
Closing an account
Close an account from its Edit dialog. It disappears from the sidebar and the account list, but its transactions stay, so past reports remain correct.
See the Accounts tour for every button on the page.
